OPI - Louvre Me Louvre Me Not & The Man With The Golden Gun [Flash] |
Today's mani has been on my nails since Thursday and I just couldn't bear to part with it over the weekend for a new color. It is still looking fabulous on my nails and I am still undeniably in LOVE with it!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle of OPI's The Man with the Golden Gun. For those who don't know it is a clear polish with real 18k gold flakes in it! I was petrified to try it out and just about cried when I was cleaning up the edges of my nails and catching those gorgeous flakes!
For my base color I used OPI's Louvre Me Louvre Me Not from La Collection De France for Fall 2008 and is undeniably one of my favorite OPI polishes! The formula is smooth and is very opaque with a single coat but being the anal retentive person that I am I ALWAYS do two coats.
Now back to the amazing-ness that is The Man With The Golden Gun...
This color was set to correlated with the release of the new Bond movie Skyfall set to hit UK theaters October 26th & US theaters November 9th as well as 50 years of Bond movies. The package design on this bad boy makes it all the more wondrous as well!

50 years of Bond, James Bond. |
 |
I'm a sucker for amazing package design. |
 |
It even comes in a gold bottle! Okay, not real gold but still! |
I can easily say I am quite smitten with this polish and don't regret spending the extra money for it [$35]. However I don't know how often I will use it because of the rarity price and the fact its real gold on your nails! LOL Oh the price for beauty!
