May MyGlam

Wow I really suck, just now realized I didn't get this posted for you guys when I release the video... OOPS!

Okay, so now that it is almost June (HOLY CRAP WHERE IS THIS YEAR GOING?!) I'm finally able to get the details on the May MyGlam bag up.

This month's bag might have seem scarce or thin for a few people but I was quite excited with it. I've never been let down yet with the MyGlam bag. The theme for the month was "Love is in the air".

Lets start with the ADORABLE bag! Light blue with pink lip prints all over it! I have to say this is my favorite bag yet!

Opening the bag the first thing to grab my attention was the full size Studio Gear lipstick! The color I received was enchanting. I absolutely loved the color, it matched my lip color almost perfectly.

Next in the goody bag was Miss Beauty's Nail Bling in a very cute silver and pink heart bling.

and of course you can't get someone to fall in love with you without smelling good! The third product I found inclosed in my bag was a perfume sample of Philosophy's Love Sweet Love. The sample smelled wonderful with a light fruity floral aroma.

The forth and final thing I found in my bag I was extremely excited was was two more brushes for the MyGlam brush collection! This bringing us to a total of five brushes and completing the set.

And there you have it! With the close of this May's MyGlam bag we received a lot of fun products and completed our brush collection. Over all I am a VERY happy girl! Can't wait to see what MyGlam brings us for June!

Review :: Pravana Perfection Blow Dry Spray

I was given the opportunity to test out Pravana's Perfection blow dry spray, compliments of Bii Hair Salon in West Dundee, IL. Their focus on natural hair care products is made possible through their exclusive partnership with Pravana, a product line that is built on natural innovations and fashion forward trends in hair color and style.

When I spoke to Adam (one of the founders of the salon) about the Perfection blow dry spray he simply raved about this product and how it cuts his styling time in half when he uses it. So when I finally got the chance to try it out I wanted to really see what this product could do....

One thing we are always looking for is ways to save time. It seems we could always use more of it in our busy lives. Wanting to be extremely accurate on how much time this product saved me I used the stop watch option on my iPhone. I even got to the crazy extent of making sure I tried the product at the same time of day as well as following the same routine when blow drying my hair.

I'm not one for really styling my hair as it usually is in a ponytail or a messy bun on my head unless I need to get dressed up or something along those lines. When I blow dry my hair it usually is brush my hair out, flip your hair over as you bend over and blow dry it till its completely dry. And let me tell you I was extremely happy with the results. Not only did my dry time get cut significantly, the spray had a wonderful smell and didn't leave a strange film or make my hair crunch. I can honestly say I've found a new obsession in hair care products!

It is suppose to be a lovely 80 degrees in the chicago land area but I'd avoid downtown because of the chaos with NATO and the President being in town. I'm excited for the weekend! Yay Friday! I swear this week has felt twice as long as it should have been! Well another busy week is coming to an end and I have a very exciting weekend planned of going to Lush, house hunt, trying on wedding dresses (squeal!) and taking my mom to Cheesecake Factory for Mother's day. April Favorites

Hello my lovlies! I was finally able to get a video up on my YouTube channel and as always I like to accompany a video with a blog post. 

The month of April was definitely a crazy one for me! Between house hunting, pack and moving an apartment, getting engaged and trying to make heads or tails of my room at my parents house I hardly knew where the month had gone.

Mani Monday :: China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy

Good evening ladies and gents! Today's "Mani Monday" is brought to you by the amazing brand China Glaze! Today I am rocking the must have color for summer no matter what, Flip Flop Fantasy!

Just look at that color! AMAZING! It totally makes me think of warm sandy beaches! However, I do have some dislikes about this polish... 

To get a non-streaky opaque color I had to do at least three coats of the color and if I wanted a shiny high gloss finish it took two coats of top coat... I painted my nails on Saturday evening and only after two days the tips of my nail polish is peeling which is really disappointing. My toes however have had the color on them going on five or more days and is still going strong.

But all in all I'm still loving this color and even if I have to paint my nails twice a week I'll be rocking this color a LOT this summer!

No Bake Oreo Brownies

Ingredients: 

• One 16 oz package of Oreo Cookies 
• 5 cups large marshmallows 
• 4 tablespoons butter 

Directions: 

1. Butter an 8X8 inch baking pan. Line the baking pan with parchment paper letting the paper extend up two sides of the pan and overhang slightly on both ends. Butter paper; set pan aside. 
2. In the bowl of a food processor fitted with the metal blade, pulse Oreos until ground. 
3. In a large, microwave safe bowl, melt butter and marshmallows in the microwave until puffed, about 1½ – 2 minutes. 
4. Stir in ground Oreo Cookies until combined. Transfer to prepared baking pan. 
5. Using a piece of wax paper, press mixture evenly into prepared pan. 
6. Let set up for at least 10 minutes. Cut into bars and serve. 

Yields: 16 bars

I know, I know it's Tuesday but with the big move over the weekend and making heads or tails of my room. I really didn't have a chance to do my nails let alone write a blog post about it! So here we are doing our nails of the week tonight.

China Glaze - For Audrey

I decided I wanted to wear China Glaze's For Audrey this week. There is just something about this color that I can not get enough of! I'm not sure if it's because it's Tiffany Co. blue, it's named in honor of Audrey Hepburn or the fact it is just an amazing color!

The formula on this beauty is like cream is goes on so smooth and opaque. I can not say enough about this fabulous color! I just simply LOVE it!
