OPI - San Francisco Collection - Review & Swatches

Good morning darlings! I actually had a chance to sit down and swatch the colors I picked up for OPI's newest collection for Fall/Winter San Francisco! I have to say if I wasn't already in fall mode this would definitely be tipping my scales! I only scooped up five colors from the collection: Incognito in Sausalito, First Date at the Golden Gate, Alcatraz...Rocks, Lost on Lombard and In the Cable Car-Pool Lane.

The only bad thing I can really say about the colors I scooped up was some of the colors formula was runny while some were really thick. I had a really hard time getting Incognito in Sausalito to apply clean. First Date at the Golden Gate was another thick formula but by the time I was swatching it I had the hang out it.

It also could be because I've grown use to Essie's mini brush heads. Or on the other hand it could be because I swear OPI changed their brush heads from their normal ones.. the brush seems thicker. Not that that is particularly a bad thing but it does take some getting use to.

With this collection I finally got to experience my first Liquid Sand polish. I'm not normally one to try this type of polish or really attracted to it but something about Alcatraz...Rocks just had me screaming "Shut up and take my money!" A warning though when using Liquid Sand polishes: make sure to apply a base coat. It will help protect your nails because I swear this stuff is harder to get off then glitter nail polish!

Now on to the swatches... Unfortunately when I started working on the swatches natural lighting wasn't working with me so I don't have a "Natural Lighting" swatch for Incognito in Sausalito or First Date at the Golden Gate. I'll get them for you darlings eventually. Promise!
