Mani Monday :: A Cut Above Burning Orchids ft: Serum No5 & Essie

Good morning darlings! I decided to snip my nails back down to nubbies, I'm not really sure why but my longer nails were starting to bug me and my pointer fingers were shorter than the rest so I figured a fresh start on my nail growth would be a good thing. Plus I love pastel colors on shorter nails. I'm sure I'll end up growing them back out but I think I'm gonna rock the nubs for a few weeks!

For this week's manicure I needed to go on the more pale / neutral side of polishes as I have a fashion show I will be in this Thursday. Yes, my little five foot, one inch self will be walking the cat walk and a makeup model for our resident Hair How To Guru Jacquelyn Marie and her salon Bii Hair Salon. Naturally what ever pictures I capture I will share with your darlings!

Wanting to keep it simple but fun I decided to use my Serum No5 Burning Orchid which glows in the dark! The formula is nice and smooth and pretty opaque with one coat but I think looks even better with two coats. However it does seem to dry a bit matte so I recommend following with a top coat. To add an accent to my manicure I decided to add Essie A Cut Above to my ring finger. I think it really pulls the look together and add a bit of piazza to the nails with out being overly girly or loud.
