Mani Monday :: Red Brown Flocking Powder (Born Pretty Store Review & Tutorial)

I had the chance to test out and review Born Pretty Store's Flocking Velvet Powder recently and after wanting to try it for so long was super excited when they offered me the chance!

Each kit comes with approximately 13 grams of flocking powder, tweezers and a duster brush to remove excess flocking powder. A kit will run you $7.99 but because you guys are all so awesome I have a 10% discount code good site-wide!

Head of to Born Pretty Store and use NSKW10 to get your 10% off!

For my base color I went with NYC - Lincoln Center and applied two coats then to apply the flocking powder I used Seche Vite top coat.

I have to admit I really love the whole idea on Flocking Powder! Its slightly mess and a lot of fun to do. Plus the texture and feel of your nails is really cool! It feels like crushed velvet on your nails!

All you have to do is a apply a base color similar to the color of your flocking powder and allow it to completely dry. Once dry you are going to want to work one nail at a time. Either apply another coat of the color you used for your base or a top coat and begin to sprinkle your flocking powder on. Lightly press the flocking powder to your nail to make sure its attached and dust away the excess! No need for a top coat either, applying a top coat will ruin your finish.

If you would like to see how it's done please watch the video below & enjoy! If you guys try it our I'd love to see your pictures!
